My conclusion of Oklahoma/Auburn (2025). Oklahoma wins 24-17 but due to the refs, this game should have been won by Auburn 24-17. The play that had the OU wide receiver act like he was going to go to the sideline should have resulted in a penalty instead of a touchdown and the over turned fumble returned for a TD. I understand the argument on some of the PI calls but the reality is the home team gets a lot of those regardless.
Oklahoma Coaching Staff: (C+) The Defensive Staff is clearly carrying this team. The Offensive Coaching Staff thinks this is flag football. Absolutely no Run Game is a disgrace at this University and in the SEC.
Offensive Play: (C+) The Quarterback is a really good football player that is going to help win some games with some solid pass blocking from the OL but the WR's have some work to do. This team had little to no production out of the Runningbacks with the poor coaching and runners that look like WR's that can't catch.
Offensive Coaching: (C-) This is no different than USC's head coach except we are now using the Passing game as ball control instead of trying to run up the score. Honestly I can not wait for this OC and RB coach to be gone.
Quarterback Play: (B-) The starting QB is a good "football player" which I love but he has the worst throwing motion that have ever seen. His side arm passes lack accuracy and are prone to being batted down. He does run and give it everything he has though. If he wasn't contributing in the run game I would rate him a C/C+.
Runningback Play: (D-) This is an absolute disgrace to football at this university. This group will not have a 1000 yd rusher until this staff is gone. The best RB is fourth on the depth chart and the only hope they have for a 1000 yd rusher, he's an SEC type RB but he is a power runner which is clearly not what the staff wants. He needs to transfer before they ruin his career.
Tight End/Wide Receiver Play: (C+) Tight Ends are getting better slowly. The Wide Receivers are steady but not very exciting but they do help in the run game since OU's RB room is the worst in the country.
Offensive Line Play: (C+) A solid group that has been beat up but can't really be judged because of the lack of run plays being called. They may be better but until I can see them run block I can't grade them higher than a C.
Defensive Play: (B+) The defense looks extremely aggressive and doesn't have a lot of weaknesses except the DB's struggle with the deep pass. There may be some questions on the run game but for the most part they looked good vs. Auburn.
Defensive Coaching: (B+) Excellent Coaching Staff that has surprised me because this is not the way the Coordinator did his defense during his previous stint at OU. This group is actually overachieving so far.
Defensive Line Play: (B+) This group would be rated higher except the interior depth is only average to solid. Everyone else has potential at the next level.
Linebacker Play: (B+) Not really tested in the run game but seemed very solid on the inside, on the edge, and on short passes on the edge
Defensiveback Play: (C+) Auburn didn't really challenge this group in the passing game but when they did, the DB's didn't do so well. They have got to learn to look for the football or continue to get interference penalties. Would be rated lower but they seem to excel vs. the run and short pass.
Next game: Vs. Kent St.
Kent St. QB looks solid and a really good WR but the rest of the team looks really bad. I expect it to be a blow out.

Accurate on everything I’ve seen. It the OC’s don’t make some major changes across the board and show serious improvement and all aspects of coaching these young men up then coach V should already be considering better. Also they should start the RB you mentioned. We’ve got to have to have a great running game period.. and use tight ends way more. For college football in general tight ends are way under used.
